Monterey California August 13th. Phils Porsche 908/03 has been accepted to the races at Monterey this year. The lineup is going to be pretty tough. Brian Redman will be racing a Porsche 908/03 along with Bruce Canepa who will be driving a Porsche 917 these guys are very tough competitors so it's going to be a close race. But we'll see who comes out on top will let you know. In the meantime the Phil's Lola-t290 is under restoration in Atlanta.it is going to be fitted with a brand-new engine A BDG four-cylinder with approximately 300 hp. it should be ready for next season will keep you informed. |
It was in 2001 that a friend of mine Joe Nastasi from New York and I went to Sicily Italy to race and the Targa Florio, it was just like the old days when Porsche raced the 908/03 and one in the streets of Sicily. Just like the old days in 1971. 
The people were standing in the street cheering us on, as we took first place. Next year we will go for the 100 year anniversary.
